About HomeCare Prices
Real home care prices for every suburb in Australia.
We compare home care prices under Support at Home. Trilogy Care runs this site and lists itself the same way as every other provider.
What HomeCare Prices is
HomeCare Prices is a free site that shows what home care actually costs in your suburb. Type your postcode and the service you need. You see real hourly rates from approved Support at Home providers, side by side.
Prices refresh every 12 weeks. Trilogy Care’s rate sits next to ten of the largest full-service providers in Australia. No login, no quote form, no salespeople. If you want to talk through what you see, the phone number is on every page.
The aim is simple. Make it easy to see what care costs, so choosing a provider is a price decision, not a guessing game.
Self-managed vs full-service home care
There are two ways to run a Support at Home package. With self-managed care, you keep the funding and choose who comes to your home. With full-service care, a provider books and manages everything for you, and takes a larger share of the hourly rate to do that work. The same cleaner, the same hour, costs less under self-management.
Self Managed
$66/hr
Typical Trilogy Care rate for cleaning under Self Managed Support at Home. You choose your worker, we handle the paperwork.
Full Service
$122 to $145/hr
Range across the ten largest full-service providers. Same worker, same hour. The provider takes the difference as coordination and admin loading.
How our pricing data is sourced
Every rate on the site comes from a public source. We do not estimate or model prices. The cascade below means you always see the closest possible figure to your suburb, with a clear label when the scope widens.
Pull
We pull provider rates from the My Aged Care register and published Department of Health price lists every 12 weeks.
Validate
Each rate is cross-checked against the provider's own service agreement and against the SaH price caps. Outliers go to a human review queue.
Cascade
If your suburb has fewer than three providers for a service, we cascade up to SA3, then state, then national, so you always see a sourced number with a clear scope label.
Publish
Every page shows the last refresh date. The full calculation lives at /methodology so anyone can audit how a number was reached.
“Every approved provider’s hourly rate, in your suburb, refreshed every 12 weeks. We show the math so you can check it.”

Who runs the site

James Whitelaw
Founder and Chairman, Trilogy Care
Trilogy Care was founded in 2020 by James Whitelaw, an accountant from Far North Queensland.
The story starts when James was helping his parents-in-law, Peter and Inese, navigate the aged care system. After speaking with national providers, James was shocked to learn that a $24,000 annual package would offer just 5.5 hours of care a week.
As an accountant, James did the maths and found a better way. By exploring Self Managed options, the family was able to double their weekly care hours, choose local carers, and build the lasting, trusted relationships essential for Inese, who was in the early stages of dementia.
In 2020, James founded Trilogy Care to help other families access the same control, transparency, and dignity his own family had found. His parents-in-law now live happily on the Sunshine Coast, receiving 41 hours of care compared to the average of 24.51 hours from other traditional providers.
Trilogy Care has grown into one of Australia’s leading Home Care Package providers, supporting more than 11,000 clients with a network of 10,500+ service providers and more than $400 million in managed funding.
HomeCare Prices is the public version of that calculation. Every approved provider’s hourly rate, in your suburb, refreshed every 12 weeks. Trilogy Care runs this site and lists itself the same way as every other provider.
